TDJ Special Projects - Online Submission

Use this form to make an electronic submission to the TD Discovery Series Special Projects initiative. Items marked with an asterisk (*) are required; bio and project description must either be pasted into the space provided OR uploaded. The application form is available here.

Application deadline is November 30, 2018 at 5:00 pm.

Bio
Please paste here, or upload below as a PDF, the following:
  • One paragraph of biographical information for each artist involved in your proposed project
  • If applicable, one paragraph of biographical information for the ensemble involved in your proposed project (this is in addition to the biographical information the each artist)
  • If the ensemble is being formed specifically for the proposed project (i.e. it has not existed in the past), one paragraph explaining why this particular group of artists is coming together
Biographical information should, as much as possible, be relevant to and provide context for the proposed project. Maximum upload size: 1 MB

Project description
Please paste here, or upload as a PDF below, a detailed description of your proposed project, including the following information:
  • The nature of your proposed project, including a synopsis of the form and content.
  • Your artistic goals and objectives.
  • An explanation detailing how this project falls outside of your usual activities and, if applicable, how it will make a unique contribution to Toronto’s cultural calendar.
  • The market and audience you wish to reach with the proposed project, and how you intend to reach them (i.e. a brief marketing plan).
  • How you intend to spend the bursary.
  • If you are proposing a free event, you must justify why an admission fee is not being charged.
  • Any other information that you feel is relevant to the description of the proposed project.
Maximum upload size: 1 MB. The project description should be a maximum of two pages.

Audio/Video support materials
Upload your audio/visual samples below in mp3, avi or mov format. Remember:
  • If your Special Project is performance-based, please submit three recent audio samples of your work. Samples should be from the last three years and should, as is possible, relate to the Special Project. Unless your performance includes a specific visual component, please do not send video samples of your work. If your project involves a special guest, send two samples of your work, and one sample of your guest artist’s work.
  • If your Special Project is a workshop or is educational in nature, please submit two recent video samples of your work. If your project involves a special guest, send one sample of your work, and one sample of your guest artist’s work.
